What we keep, and why

Stoury helps you plan trips around the films and shows you love. We keep as little as we need to do that, we never sell it, and you can delete your trip at any time.

Who we are

Stoury is operated by Secret Weapon Studios. Questions about your data: inquiries@stoury.com, or simply reply to any email we've sent you.

What we collect

If you save a trip: the email address you give us, the stops in your trip, your trip dates and party size, and the bookings you've told us about. That includes the time and any booking reference you typed in.

If you tick "Send me new Stoury itineraries": that you agreed, and when.

If you ask to hear when a trip launches: your email, which trip, and when you agreed.

How you use the site. We record simple, anonymous events: which itinerary you viewed, when you opened a booking panel or went to a partner, and whether you said you booked. These are tied to a random ID kept in your browser, not to your name. We use them to see which itineraries work and to improve them.

We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and itineraries people use. It's set so Google can't use it for advertising, and in Europe it runs without cookies. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don't set analytics cookies.

On your device. Your trip, dates and booking notes are stored in your own browser so the site remembers them between visits. Clearing your browser data removes them.

We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't build profiles of you.

Why we use it

Bookings are made with our partners

When you book a table, tour or ticket, you book it directly with the partner shown in the booking panel: OpenTable, Resy, GetYourGuide, Viator, or the venue itself. Stoury doesn't take payment. Anything you enter on the partner's page or in their booking widget goes to them, under their privacy policy. Links to partners may carry a Stoury reference so they know we sent you. That reference identifies Stoury and the itinerary, not you.

Other services our pages use

To show you the site, your browser also loads content from a few other services, which receive your IP address as any website does. Film images come from The Movie Database (TMDB). Map tiles come from our map provider. Some page styling and fonts come from public CDNs. Partner booking widgets load inside the booking panel.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services that run Stoury for us: our hosting provider, and our email provider, which sends your trip email. They process it on our behalf.

How long we keep it

A saved trip is deleted automatically 18 months after it was last changed. You can delete it sooner at any time.

A "tell me when this trip launches" request is deleted 30 days after we send that email, or after 18 months if the trip hasn't launched.

Your choices

Anyone with your trip link can view and edit that trip, so keep the email somewhere safe.

Changes

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date below.
